UnityMy one big complaint from this season is that Michael Imperioli and F. Murray Abraham were really phased out in the last 3 episodes. Would've liked to have seen more of them, I really feel like this season could have used an extra episode or two.
Other than that this grades higher than season one for me easily.
Yeah they were definitely side characters by the end. They just didn’t have much plot to work with unfortunately.

yeah the grandfather for sure. was always kind of on the side. for imperioli his storyline kinda concluded once the ex wife took his call. nothin really else to go with him

I feel like this show entered the zeitgeist so quietly, but now that it's here and that this season has ended, I feel like it's the most perfectly fitting show for the 2020s I've yet seen.

Mike White is gay (actually bi I think), but the gay hotel manager in S1 and all the gay guys in this season die.
Not to mention Steve Zahn's gay dad dies of AIDs in S1.
I don't think he's being serious though, it's just a weird coincidence that all the gay men on this show die.

Fun fact, his dad is also gay, and came out during Mike White's childhood. I wonder if that was the inspiration for Steve Zahn's story arc in S1.

it’s a good show but it’s a fairly slow burn, mostly about the vibes and enjoying the build-up of drama.
