iirc the last episode of szn 3 ended with bernard starting the simulations to find the best outcome. szn 4 started like twenty years had passed and he hadn’t moved, so I’m assuming it took that long to run all the possible simulations.

So was what we saw simulations in his head or did that really happen and they just died and came back to life multiple times

a lot better. damage controlled the last season with this one. opened up the possibilities of a very good 5th season. i wouldn’t say they’ll ever match season 1 though.
