I guess but these are still fairly low numbers for someone like Drake, the jokes are warranted.
Weeknd literally just did 169k when you don’t include the pure sales that were mostly comprised of merch and unscheduled tour bundles. Where do you guys get this stuff?
lol holy s*** Kenny Chesney still around? Some KTT members may remember the name from Kanye’s Graduation vs 50 Cent’s Curtis sales battle. Kenny Chesney was the dark horse candidate to take #1 back then, can’t believe he’s still making music. Country stars have crazy longevity. Weird genre.
If Drake released bundles and did insane numbers - Aubrey “Bundle” Graham
If Drake doesn’t release bundles and still gets more streams off a demo tape than other major artists’ albums with 6 month rollouts, but has a lower SPS bc of no bundles - Drake FLOPPED
The only reason people would clown Drake for using bundles is because you guys constantly s*** on every other artist who’s used bundles.
there’s no difference between a mixtape and an album in 2020. they’re both full projects with original music. Drake can say his album is going to be higher quality or whatever but he’s proved otherwise in the past

Isn't Drake more popular though? I don't really keep up with sales much.

tbh

Sometimes there is still a difference. Sada Baby dropped 2 projects that only showed up on Soundcloud and Datpiff. Never getting those s***s above 160kbps. Not for sale. Not streaming.

Drake is more popular but Weeknd is still one of the biggest artists out and has a recently released album for comparison’s sake

There is a marketing difference and that’s indisputable
Damn my boy was right. He said no one was talking about drakes tape and i was like man drake always sells. Well these number are horrible lmao.

what project did he do 169k?

sometimes albums are marketed and sometimes they’re surprise releases. same with mixtapes. albums are usually promoted more i’ll give u that
isn’t this a random tape with literally no promotion?
by the biggest rapper in hip hop
what project did he do 169k?
After Hours did 169k SEA. Tour and merch bundles did another 250k so it sold low 400s SPS

I'm not saying he flopped or anything, I thought he'd sell a little more... pretty sure I'm not the only one who thought so.
oh well
isn’t this a random tape with literally no promotion?
Didn’t matter for Em
Plus you gotta consider how part of this fanbase acts when it comes to sales

um.. it did 275k album sales and the rest was bundles.
