Jan 10, 2022·edited·1 replyOn the flip side, I never liked the idea that “abel wrote Take Care” I think he inspired a lot of the overall sound and style but Drake clearly influenced him heavy as well. If anything, I think Abel influenced Drake to really go the distance with the R&B/80s Pop side he tapped into on SFG but that’s pretty much it. Drake’s pen game on that album was def him at the end of the day.
I believe that when the best artists are together, great stuff can come about and that’s why I think a lot of Drake’s music now isn’t as good cause of the people he’s surrounded by
