Drake has tapped into so many different sounds and genres, he just does it for a few tracks every album / era instead of making 1 project with that specific sound. with that being said i would love a pop/rnb project with jordan and nineteen85
Jan 10, 2022mangotflupersonally I became a huge fan of The Weeknd because of his vocals & melodies, they used to be super distinctive
whilst I think Dawn FM has top tier production I personally don't like how these albums rely less on his vocals than BBTM/Trilogy (BBTM actually being my favourite, Often my favourite song ever).
There's far less vocal high moments on Dawn FM than any other album, can't even remember one off the top of my headedit: same reason I prefer Drake's older stuff vs CLB

i think those are valid points thank you for being specific. i do think it depends how and what you value in vocal performance. i could argue that this is his best in years just off variety alone. what he sacrificed in crooning and belting i think is made up for with more assured and controlled vocals.
melodies are something different yeah, i can't argue with you there. those songs from back then definitely carry a whole different feeling.

Idk the drake L really hasn’t seemed to stick like Hov’s did and even then, Hov came out on top ultimately
