he's just stealing the trump playbook. lead with something radical--in trump's case it was the immigrant rhetoric. in kanye's case he went even more radical with the rhetoric surrounding jewish people. there are a lot of white people who still feel disenfranchised in this country. they want someone to blame. jews have always been easy to blame, have been blamed across history. it's wrong and hurtful and hateful and dangerous, but it sure as s*** isn't unpopular. and it unites people of all races to come together against an ethnicity that makes up 1% of the US.

all in all this is just very bad. it's not impossible that he wins, but obviously he's going to have to stand up to criticism on the campaign trail so we'll see how that goes. but i guess point of the matter is that now is the time to pick a side politically. there can't be any, "yeah it's bad, but look at the discography," anymore. even if its true that kind of rhetoric only helps him.

it's also interesting that virtually no rappers have come out and condemned anything antisemitic that Ye has said..it's either they think he's right OR don't want to spark a public feud with him OR risk burning any bridges given his status in music still

in addition to his cringe die hard stans who still stand by and defend his every word, the only political juice ye has is in the extremely niche demographic of ultra christian fundamentalist conservatives, and within that sect it's the ones who aren't trump supporters or vehemently racist, which means not a lot of em.

he doesn't have the bank account, mental health or attention span to make it thru im 1000% certain but he is gonna keep being a loser ruining his life for maybe 2-6 more months. i worry how this will end but mostly i feel bad for his kids at this point.

almost cant believe that i still want him to get well and live a good life when this is over, despite it all. i no longer care about hearing new ye music again. it clearly takes a massive toll on him to do any kind of promo run, creative or political.
