i love that he's doing these tracks.

i think especially the drill bass sound works for him

but i think he should just use our flows and not take the slang/accent. but then it probably doesn't sound off to a lot of people and maybe it's fun

true, i just think it would sound better in his usual tone

like when UK MCs like Giggs have gone on tracks from other genres they've just kept their usual voices. surely a crossover works best when the person is doing what they do best over the other person's stuff. like james blake sings like he always sang on that Mile High song with Travis that sounds like it would be on a rap project

I applaud Drake for trying new things despite the criticism which is ironic because it’s a common thing in the industry but I guess Drake is easier to criticize

i mean i think he'll always sound like drake than some generic rapper

it's impressive, but it just reminds me of when popstars like Ari or whoever start trying to sound like rappers

It just comes off a bit inauthentic and i'd rather hear him going back and forth with a great artist like Headie doing what he'd do if he was on a track with a great US artist.

it's great for our scene and i think he verse is great. i hope he has producers adding drill sounds to lots of other stuff on his album. it also shows that despite what everyone says drake does try new sounds (like bounce a couple years ago)

it just sounds a bit off to me when he changes his voice, but i'll get use to it with more listens.
