ion know if you mean quality(mdm is proof you're wrong) but commercially no he didn't
International hits are meaningless. Chris Brown and Eminem are still popping overseas

i never said i dont like mdm lol.. im just asying 6 tracks is no where near a project, and not just that but hurt you is not that good and neither is wasted times.
so like 4/6 tracks that are good/excellent is not a good way to justify you saying he hasnt fallen off.
best thing he's put out since trilogy :)
lol, it's nowhere near the quality and quantity of trilogy stop lying to yourself.
melancholy was a surprise drop & a masterpiece that sold almost 200k fw
Heartless was a #1 hit that only dropped down cuz of all the christmas stuff & is now climbing back. Not to mention blinding lights rn is an international hit that's #1 like everywhere except the us
some countries in western Europe is not everywhere
and mdm is far from a masterpiece lmao, not even top 3 the weeknd, s*** sounds like he was making a impression of his past self
International hits are meaningless. Chris Brown and Eminem are still popping overseas
People will disagree with this, but it's the truth. There's a reason every artist wants a #1 on the Hot 100, which is a US-based chart. The US is still the biggest and most bouyant music market and is the biggest market for most artists. There's a reason why most artists don't brag nearly as much when they go #1 in other countries like they do when they go #1 on the Hot 100 or Billboard 200 which are US-based.
Blinding Lights is a pretty huge song WW amd Heartless was a legit #1 qnd just fell because of all those Christmas songs but still doing numbers
My king
If Heartless was a solid #1 that wasn't boosted by bundles, it wouldn't have dropped from. #1 yet alone the top 10 a week after it's debut.
Trust me I'm ALWAYS ahead of the curve on these things. I predicted so many things in music
Lmaoooooooo ok music professor

how did he bundle? he just had cds for sale on his site. not like he was tryna sell diet pills or whatever the f*** dj khaled was doing to boost his s***.

He only sold those CDs/Vinyls (which don't ship for several months btw) to boost his sales for that particular tracking week. Also, the song falling that hard says a lot about it's longevity. It's not doing particularly well on streaming either.

that's how music was sold for decades though. you used to have to buy a physical copy of s*** if you wanted it. it's not like he put up a bunch of t-shirts and had that be equivalent to a single sale (which is usually what people refer to as bundling).
I agree with the rest of what you're saying. blinding lights is obviously more of a hit.
