    HEAVEN BY MARC JACOBS
    (2ND COLLECTION OUT NOW)

What is Heaven? It鈥檚 a series of clothes, from baby tees to sweater vests, combat trousers to hoodies. But it鈥檚 also a double-headed Teddy bear (originally held by a naked Katie Grand in the pages of a 1994 copy of Dazed). It鈥檚 young musicians like Dazed 100 star Beabadoobee and the green-haired Vegyn. It鈥檚 your teenage bedroom. It鈥檚 Gregg Araki, whose apocalyptic typography features on t-shirts. It鈥檚 legendary Japanese street style mag FRUiTS, whose founder Shoichi Aoki has shot the lookbook. And it鈥檚 so, so much more than that.
The new Marc Jacobs line Heaven celebrates polysexuality, '90s pop culture nostalgia and references. The collection draws from teenage daydreams, queer youth, candy ravers, alienation nation and more. They also pay homage to queer pioneer Gregg Araki, the plushy sculptures of Mike Kelley, and artist Cindy Sherman. The items are not aimed toward a specific gender identity, rather leaving it up to the shopper to decide what is right for them.

  • updated now

  • went to the marc jacobs store in midtown, the first collection will be taken down in store (not sure about online) and they are preparing to release the second collection sometime next month in march. they reportedly might also do it in multiple releases as opposed to all at once. i copped the green double head tee just in case they take it down from the site and it's gone forever.
