Because you don't understand the term compound labor
I don’t understand what this has to do w capital generating wealth
Capital is a factor of production
The process of production generates wealth
Therefore capital generates wealth
Obviously you also need labor as part of that process but it doesn’t change the fact that capital is generating that wealth as well
Why is every communist/socialist itt challenging the objective fact that capital is a factor of production? AFAIK that’s not an incompatible fact with communism/socialism it’s literally part of the theory lol
bro what
So the machines appeared out of thin air? They assembled themselves? Or other workers designed them, got all the ressources needed, assembled them, transported them?
Lmfao
Huh? Why are y’all viewing this as me saying that labour doesn’t generate wealth and/or isn’t involved in the process lmao
So the machines appeared out of thin air? They assembled themselves? Or other workers designed them, got all the ressources needed, assembled them, transported them?
Lmfao
Those resources are capital lmao
Those resources are capital lmao
Once again, how did those resources appear on the market? Did the piece of metal suddenly appear in a factory, or was ore mined and refined, did geologists survey the lands, who created the machines needed to mine the ore, who created the machines needed to process the ore, who transported the metal? Was it muh capital

bro what the f*** are you talking about?
We’re not even in disagreement politically I have no f***ing idea why y’all are arguing this s***
Ore and other resources are a form of capital
The tools people use to mine are a form of capital
The tools they use to survey are a form of capital
What the f*** do you think Marx means when he says the means of production
It’s capital bro the issue is that the ruling class owns the capital which is needed to produce goods
I’m in no way diminishing labours role in generating wealth it is the MAIN factor of production but capital is the other factor of production

Capital is not a Marxian mean of production dude
Feel like today the movement will begin to be co-opted though, the seeds will be planted imo...
Look for people or groups that have consistently sided with the elite try to declare this as a victory for the average person while trying to better their own position.
That’s my fear

I really hope we see some wild s*** from this instead of just hedge funds and people seeding reddit and trying to pump stocks
Ok so what is?
Labor power, i.e. the human capacity to transform things through exerting energy, our capability to interact with nature or other humans
Subject of labor, i.e. the things we transform, like resources to make into goods, land to grow food or build things on
Instruments of labor, i.e. the tools we need to make that transformation, such as machines, robots, factories, computers - anything that is an artificial extension of our body or mind

Both of the second two are just capital my dude you’re just coming up w other names to try cover your ass
It’s fine to admit you’re wrong lol like not even being snarky about it we’re on the same side I’m not gonna judge you for being wrong about it

Like that Slim Jim tweet was cute, but it’s literally just trying to partake in a stock pump for no reason, in no ways has that stock been oppressed by vulture hedge funds lol.
Crypto space is heavily involved in this now, almost all the major twitter accounts addressed it at some point today. Would love to see a good chunk of people move into Crypto and get out of government regulated trading markets.
That’d be my ideal situation tbh, but I’m a pessimist and tend to think nothing substantial will happen :(

You're using a marginalist view while I am using the labor theory of value. Your opinion is fine, IDC, but don't think it's what Marxian economists say or what means of production means in that school of thought

Exactly lol I’m seeing so many people shilling stocks rn to try capitalize off this it really agitates me cause a lot of people don’t know s*** and are gonna fall for it
Yea I remember falling for some real s***coins back in 2017 lost like $500 which was literally everything I put in
If I’d just gone into ETH or even BTC I’d have gotten 5-10x return if not more

I see crypto adoption as more of a bridge to wealth adoption and means of transitioning wealth to others.
Like for example, I pay everything with crypto. Crypto is how people get paid in my world (not in theory, this is right now) from marketing to developing projects.
And irl crypto funds my lifestyle, I have an account that turns crypto to fiat automatically and pays for things like gas, rent, etc.
If we can get society off the fiat currencies and into crypto lifestyle, I think you’d see something really cool happen with people becoming citizens of the world and not just their own country.
I might’ve worded some of that poorly or explained my thoughts poorly, it’s 4:30AM so I apologize if that’s a bit out there
Some ktt members live like how I described right now, their world nomads basically. I’m just behind and trying to catch up

yea Fr I love that
A lot of people just view it as a get rich quick thing but actually looking at the technology and it’s real world use and potential is just like looking at a stocks actual financials and company outlook
I’d love for it to become mainstream like even if it never becomes the main currency just having it at a point where I can entirely switch would be cool
