It's OLED or bust in 2023
FR, wish I didnt cop that samsung back in 2021. It’s got good picture and all but I saw a movie at my friends place on his OLED and it was real impressive.
@op how do you feel now that you’ve had it a week?
Buying one this week. Torn between the lg c2 and Samsung s95b
I think the consensus is the s95b has the much brighter picture and looks better in HDR and SDR. But has quality control issues and burn’s in much easier. Also doesn’t have Dolby vision
If similar in price may lean towards s95b. Depends if you want Dolby vision. If not getting warranty maybe save money and get a C2? You should be impressed either way

honestly, i feel like you could buy either and not go wrong. personally i love it, it’s huge plays games at 120 and any film looks incredible on it. i don’t have the most technical knowledge on the subject but i’d doubt you’d be disappointed with either

Are burn ins common issues? The only time the tv would be on for an extended period is if there are sports on that day like nfl on sundays

They used to be with older models. New ones not so much
Burn in is real and all OLED’s WILL eventually get it. But newer models take longer and longer and have more safety precautions
rtings right now is doing a test on these newer models and so far C2’s holding up the best
What about this - Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80K OLED 4K UHD HDR Google TV

S95b is so good I had to get another one to put in the bedroom and I’m someone that never has a TV in my bedroom
I previously had a C1 which was good but not as good as this. TVs get better with time so that’s expected.
I was also considering S95b vs whatever the most recent LG was and decided on Samsung because Rtings.com had it rated higher.

I feel like this won’t be an issue if you replace your TV every 2-4 years though
Or does this stuff happen faster than that?

who tf buys tvs that often
Nah no doubt, it’s night and day, it’s just I cant justify buying a TV when I just got one 3 years ago maybe if I get a new job, as a treat
Going with the LG C2 as well since I have an LG soundbar already. Ordered and delivery expected this Saturday. I can’t wait
