I would say, save up another 3-4K and get a g37 sedan, semi quick, reliable and can look good with simple mods if you ever go down that rabbit hole

Get the Lexus hands down, those are really rare sought after vehicles especially the V8. Extremely reliable

The Jeep is gonna be a nightmare for maintenance, those things were always trouble

my man askin if he should cop a NA 2jz or a jeep thats gonna roll over the minute he makes a fast turn

lexus is way more bulletproof than a g37 those always have a plethora of wiring problems and more

  • Apr 27, 2021

I would say the lexus but make sure to get it looked at by a mechanic BEFORE you buy it...might end up spending an extra 100+ when you don’t really need to but it’s better than spending thousands on a lemon

also, RWD in the winter isn't that bad if you use snow tires (which everyone should) and keep a 50pound bag above rear tires

i used to put winter tires and extra weight in the trunk of my cars (ive had a mustang and now a charger)

at this point tho we only get like a few weeks of really bad snow every winter now. this past winter i dont think the roads were bad once. im in cleveland btw

i havent did the snow tires + weight in the trunk for a good 3-4 years now. maybe it still snows like a mfer where OP is at, but in cleveland the winter weather has changed in the past 5-10 years

I remember doing research on older jeeps this gen is decently solid as far as jeeps go

The lexus is looking like the practical choice, even tho i dont have experience with rwd cars and the fact that i live in boston where its hilly and has s***ty weather

I heard people put sand bags above their rear wheels to weigh it down so maybe thats an option

    2001 Lexus GS430
    60,894 miles
    $4895

    2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    88,000 miles
    $3500

If anyone has these cars or is just knowledgeable wanna help me make a decision. I know Lexus' are well made especially the older ones. Its def a nice car, and with low mileage. Only thing is it is rear wheel drive and I live in the northeast. I aint tryna spin out.

I really like the color on the Jeep (greens my favorite), and its a bigger car which I like. Prolly eats winter weather for breakfast. Great engine. Eats gas like a b**** tho.

    What do yall think?

    How about a Saturn Sl1 or SL2?

    Cheap to operate
    Easy to repair
    Cheap to buy
