Y’all today I was listening to the new JID track Surround Sound and it has the Aretha Franklin - One Step Ahead sample.
I swear another track has that sample flipped into a trap beat it coulda been a Metro beat or something maybe a J Cole track, maybe Big KRIT I don’t know but I can’t remember its title…. please help me it could’ve been a song that sampled Ms Fat Booty too but that’s synonymous to sampling the Aretha Franklin song

It could be a leak I heard before or a scrapped track idk but it’s not listed on who sampled AND I NEED TO FIND IT

Nope, it was more trap influenced, like the Metro production on Savage Mode 2 especially Runnin

It started with the sample then beat drops when Aretha says TO FORGEEEET
It might be a leak or smth but I NEED to know what track it was

That could be the case but If it was so hard how do you not remember the artist at least. How do you get J Cole or Big Krit mixed up. We need some bars and the year he heard it to really find this out

I’ll post the JID track too since the sample is more clear on here but it’s not the track I meant and the beat had way different drums but close sample loop yet a little faster than this one

It might be a snippet from an artist that scrapped it due to sample clearance issues since it’s not listed anywhere as an official track but still I need to figure out whose leak it was
