Hey fellas, I live in New Zealand’s only student based town which naturally, has a massive binge drinking culture associated with it One of the things we do over here is red cards, essentially everyone in your friend group gets one per year, you can pull it at any time and everyone is obliged to take part and drink a copious amount.

Unfortunately I’m in my last year at uni and have attended/hosted multiple red cards over my time, putting me in my current position; I’m about out of ideas. I figured what better a place to get stupid drinking games/dress up themes etc than right here, so let’s hear em

For reference, a s*** and unoriginal red card would be something like a beer pong tournament, wine hands (bottles of wine tapped around each hand, can’t undo tape until you’ve finished both) and getting everyone to bring a bottle and making jungle juice, so miss me with that generic s***

idk but at least not playing games doing so

  • Play the Mario Kart drinking game. You have to finish an entire beer during each race, but the catch is that you have to be stationary while you’re drinking (I.e. you can’t drink and drive). Then the person who comes in last has to drink more before the next race starts

everyone must be ready to prepare their own unique set of however many mixed drinks for the entire party to pick from (this set of mixed drinks must all be the same type of drink, meaning every person makes the same drink however many times

this means everyone in the party will have to have 5 drinks and can pick from any of them

However, they cannot drink the same one twice and cannot recommend drinks

For this game you need a pack of cards without the jokers, but shuffled well. The first part, also called the pyramid scheme, consists of three or four rounds: you can decide for yourself whether you play the fourth round, but that is of course always the most fun!

    Round 1: Red or black
You ask each player if he wants a red or black card. When he's wrong, he has to take a sip of his drink.

    Round 2: Higher or lower
In this round, you ask each player whether the card you are going to place on is higher or lower than the card they were dealt in round one. If they are wrong here, they have to take another sip of their drink. Example: The card in round one is an eight. The player calls lower and gets a ten. That is wrong and so he has to drink.

    Round 3: Inside or outside
Each player now has two cards. You now ask each player whether the next card is within or outside the value of both cards. For example: for a player there is an eight and a ten. If the player calls in, it means that he can expect an eight, a nine or a ten: then he is right. All other cards are excluded. If the player is wrong, he must drink another sip.

Round 4 (optional but great fun!): Round of hearts!
In this round you ask the players what kind of card they want: hearts, spades, clubs or diamonds. If they are wrong, they should, you guessed it, take another sip. A variation on this game, because of course you don't drink a lot in these rounds, is that you really make a round of hearts. This means that everyone's choice is hearts, and if you don't get a heart card, you just have to drink!

    Pyramid
All right, the four rounds are over now and everyone has four cards (three if you don't play the fourth round, but if you don't, you're too scared). Now the person in possession of the pack of cards places a pyramid with five cards next to each other on the bottom row, the row above four, and so on. You then turn over one card at a time, starting with the bottom row, the left card. If someone has a card that has the same value as the card in the pyramid, he may lay that card on it and deal a number of gulps to a person (or more persons) of his choice. The cards on the bottom row count one sip for each card, the second row two sips, the third row three sips and so on. If you put multiple cards on one card in the pyramid, you may deal that number of gulps times the row of cards you are sitting on. So if you place two cards on a card in the third row, you may deal three sips twice.

    Boats!!!
When the pyramid scheme is over, whoever has the most cards left has to go into the boat. If there are several players with the same number of cards and all of them the least, a player who does not enter the boat shuffles the pack of cards and places them out on the table. The players who basically have to get into the boat take a card of their choice. The person with the highest card must enter the boat. Then the pack of cards is shuffled again and five cards are placed face up next to each other. The player in the boat may say whether they should be placed from left to right or vice versa. Then he has to say for each card that is there whether the card he is going to receive from the closed pack of cards is higher or lower than the value that is already there. If he gets it right, he moves on to the next card and must indicate higher or lower there as well. If you are wrong, take a sip corresponding to the card you are sitting on. If you are on the first card and you get it wrong, you take one sip. If you are already on your third card and you have that error, you have to take three sips. Then you also go back to the first map and start again. So there are always new cards on it! You may quit when the deck of cards is empty, but you can also put down the top cards as a new deck and shuffle all other cards and continue. Only for real die-hards!

Translated the rules for you through an app, it seems like a lot but it's actually simple and fun, play it all the time with my friends. Might send someone to the hospital if you are into that stuff.

Oh bro out here we call that F*** the Bus (usually we play 4 cards out, have to guess all 4 correctly in succession or you restart and drink 1,2,3,4 sips depending on how far down the bus you were/how many cards you’d guessed right). Definitely going to incorporate this as a punishment or summ
