won’t ever move anybody like drake did ngl, up your scale for this discussion we not just talking core hip hop nerds

Caring about the masses was your first mistake.
But honestly i think hip hop will enter a phase similar to the one rock is going through, where it's not the most popular genre anymore but the real ones will still fw it.
I think that could be good, maybe the genre will evolve more when rappers stop trying to appeal to the masses idk

yea i’m thinking the same thing lol great take. And i’m thinking abt the masses because they are what moves the world at the end, you don’t get to as many no 1s as michael jackson by doing niche depression rap for suicidal nerds

This is real life and not some anime avengers good guys bad guys type s***, drake can release whatever he wants and the genre is OKAY. theres a million other artists making hiphop, who actually gives a f*** about hip hop being the “dominant genre” that s*** bred laziness and buffoonery anyways

Also a good point. At the end of the day I think it's unrealistic to think that it will completely disappear, and we all know that trends go I'm circles. It will eventually come back like rock is making it's comeback
