Also I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again people gotta give this street s***/ratchet s*** a f***ing rest man

No one takes that s*** seriously anymore s*** is a meme

people laugh at it but when it comes to really listening to it majority of people are over that s***

It’s possible to be a rapper and not make ignorant ass music

That s*** doesn’t represent who we are anymore

Also this. People aren't takin street rappers seriously. And why should they?

So many niggas got killed and locked up the last couple years. Makes the whole lifestyle look fraudulent.

Crazy take but if Pop Smoke doesn't get death stimmy, he is more of a Desiigner 2.0

you prolly got kilt for this take. i def. don't agree with you. i just feel he would have ventured into different styles. it's a shame cuz he passed right in the middle of his drill phase which got played out fast

Pop had multiple hits before passing and was consistently growing in popularity

Desiiigner has Panda and the only thing he’s accomplished of note since then is whipping his d*** out on an airplane

no, he had timmy turner which lots of ppl acknowledge and liked since it was different from panda

The reality is a lot of these rappers are not that talented or unique

Yup they rely on their image their wardrobe and makeup and social media antics more than their actual talent

Everything that hip-hop purists warned us about through the years has come to pass

    We should’ve listened

Summarizing the genre from the esoteric position, the encapsulation of quantifiable characteristics prevail in a fashion of coexistence. Manifestations of all the qualities exists adjacently, constructing a particular hierarchy of genre prioritization. Points of intersection could resemble the downfall or uprising of particular trends, in which generalization is marked as fallacious to the entire concept.

d***, you're implying he only had one song. he had timmy and the new english mixtape, and was good enough to be part of GOOD music.

also, pop was cool and all but let's not act like his two short ass tapes or ep's meet the woo 1 and 2 were different from each other. they all had the same sound. couldn't even tell em apart.

Yup. Sad times. I hate how in this era, when an album I really love, one that ticks the boxes of what a “classic” is for me, drops, I'm almost guaranteed to see half the internet calling it mid.

When I used to get that “classic” feeling in the past, I was usually on point, and the culture and critics were on the same page.
