Feel like this is a much more interesting convo since most people default drake cole kendrick on the rapper one
for me:
Metro Boomin
Boi-1da
Mustard
Mike WiLL Made-It
but also off of personal enjoyment:
Pharrell
Madlib
Sounwave
DJ Dahi
Fly-lo got more of my favorites than all of em this decade but he's outside the hip hop convo imo
I'd put Southside or Luger up there before Metro.
We are talking an entire DECADE after all.
A case can be made for Tyler the Creator lowkey. But I guess what would hold him back is that he didn't produce for that many other artists...
Also where is Hit-Boy? No DJ Dahi in the Mt Rushmore?
he doesn’t really have hits like that but pierre was the most talented hip hop producer to show up last decade. extremely influential too every producer alive has copied his style at least once

definitely not the most talented
his style was a bit unique but very simplistic and repetitive

you had to remove your top artists cuz everyone was clowning you for still listening to TI

Personally I feel like Clams Casino and/or SpaceGhostPurrp can have a place on a producer Mt Rushmore as their cloud rap and lo-fi production was influential throughout most of the 2010s.
Hard to do a producer Mt Rushmore because you're gonna be leaving off a lot of noteworthy and important producers of the 2010s. The last decade was a very experimental era for hip-hop production, and it led to a slew of new sounds in the genre.
