Bro said ONE WAY FLIGHT
Letās not pretend hit boy doesnāt have some cracked beats but if weāre gonna clown metro for using the same snare we have to clown hit boy for using the same nba 2k20 soundtrack drum kit for the past 5 years
Metro has .5% the work ethic and versatility of Hit, yet for some reason heās still heralded as some kind of god amongst producers. People will fr put him above the dude who made Ugly, Legit, One Way Flight, Bus Stop etc.
It didnāt need to be said, but Iām glad he is
I don't think Metro is really seen as a god level producer in terms of versatility or even much his style, but his presence as an Artist & brand in hip-hop is something young guys aspire to be like. Its not really the music itself but more on how iconic & popular he became, his tag literally spawned memes
way more versatile and consistent than hitboy

This the producer version of the Control verse?
He said "it's funny how one verse could f*** up the game"
Hit Boy is really gonna be using this next tape as his scorched earth campaign dissing the whole industry
personally I can't wait
Never knew Metro produced Tuesday wtf
His tag is literally in the song
His tag is literally in the song
I aint listen to the song since 2014 chill on me
A producer could use literally the same exact drum sounds on every beat they make, and I guarantee less than 2% of the public would notice, and of the people who noticed, less than 30% would care.
This is such a weird thing to beef over
The proof is Pierre Bourne who has used the same atrocious drums his whole career and gets worshipped as a God
Cool cat
Boom bap

Boom bap
hanging with Nas too much, Hit got some residual dust stuck in his rhyme books

Hit-Boy has done trap, boom-bap, drumless soul, drill, jersey club, house, and g-funk all in the past two years, and all done amazingly
Like come on really?
Does metro need to do boom bap? He has put out soul sample beats, and uses non trap drums in songs. Iām not sure whatās the point of this diss / beef
boom bap, produced by metro boomin
hit-boy is indubitably the best and most versatile mainstream hip-hop producer, itās not even a debate fr

the three artist in those records have different sounds, and the records sound nothing alike. the fact that he was able to create these vastly different sounding records even if the underlying drums patterns are similar, and for them to all be successful commercially is more impressive than being a jack of all sounds
