tbf not many people knew him by name before this nas project. i couldn't name you a song other than this that he produced

Yeah his career came back after KD. It even surprises me how he couldn't catch a real wave after WTT and Cruel Summer

If anything, his word choice was f***ed up and it’s not that big of a deal at all

If he said “underrated” instead it would have made more sense and it would have been 100% correct

  • In the grand scheme of things he is underground, Almost all producers are

    It’s all relative

He’s produced massive records but those records the majority of ppl couldn’t pick his face or name out of a lineup

the dude who produced goldie is claiming he underground

considering who rocky was beefin at the time and arguably might’ve taken some inspiration from, is now hated and blackballed by the entire industry/mainstream hip-hop with only a cult following to his name

If he feels underrated still he has every right to feel that way. Most producers that don’t have trendy/obnoxious tags are underrated. Imagine if DJ Dahi had a tag, he’s underrated as f*** and worked with just as many big artist as Hit Boy has. He’d be in every convo but he’s not

Same with Hit Boy. Producers that don’t have tags are inherently underrated

The average listener doesn’t know who the F*** No I.D. is and he’s literally a goat lmao, catalogue is insane and it’s because he doesn’t have a tag

No ID is a legend, he is most certainly not underrated. anyone who scratches even slightly below the surface would know of him.
And while we're at it, while I probably wouldn't have much as much of a problem with DJ Dahi calling himself underrated as opposed to Hit-Boy, it would still raise a couple eyebrows, and justifiably so, he has bonafide hits under his belt too.
