Honestly tho if we’re gonna do a nostalgia bait album I would much rather have someone like zaytoven or mannie fresh or any number of southern producers that have been around for a while. Have them go back in the studio with just the MPC and keyboards

The one thing that always bothered me about Wayne projects was the lack of cohesion production wise. He’ll have projects full of great ideas but some of them fall flat bc the songs would’ve worked better on other albums/tapes. Something focused and refined would be good for him right now. In terms of recent albums he doesn’t really have anything like that

I agree. The reason Magic is so good is because of how focused Nas is on the project. The production wasn’t game changing or anything, but it was a perfect backdrop for Nas. That’s all I want from this potential album. Wayne spitting his ass off with polished, precise production throughout an entire album. Which like you said, is what we don’t get often from Wayne regarding production lately.
