Yea that would indicate album being closed to finish and rollout starting soon but do you seriously think Drake would drop without any notice prior. The most likely outcome I see is him announcing the album and date sometime in August and drop a single then the album in end of August (at the earliest) or September.

Once again, you are just getting sad over something you thought would happen. There was no official announcement of something that would happen on Monday, that was just your speculation. I am sure Drake's team would announce a release date and single after factoring in all the factors including other artists' release dates as you said.
And even if they had released a single on monday, release date announcement wouldn't have come until end of this week and album after 15-20 days of the release date announcement, going off of his past 2 albums Scorpion and Views. So album would have not released before the 20th of August at the earliest.
My best advice would be to wait for an official announcement and not go off of rumors given by clout chasers. There is tonne of music to listen to from Drake's catalogue and other artists meanwhile.

I think he ain’t trying to drop with Kanye just because he won’t see the maximum of his sales/streams. There will always be a pull from both fan bases.
