COPPED FROM PS APP THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨🚨
happy for you fam
enjoy the climb, pilgrim
Should I buy and play this rn even if I never played the first?
Sure. you dont need to play the first. who cares about story. just a good ass game
How “standalone” is this anyway from a story perspective? I got about 2/3rds of the way through the first and dropped it for some reason or other and never got around to replaying and properly finishing it.
$20 bucks for this and figure I might as well jump in once I finish MGS Delta, it’ll hopefully hold me over until Silent Hill f drops.
Figure I could probably just watch that lore video posted earlier.

can someone explain the hype to me? genuinely asking
it’s a beloved genre, metroidvania, there’s nothing quite like it. the whole world is one big maze that you’re figuring out on your own.

Hollow Knight released out of nowhere and is an indie gem and genuinely on the mount rushmore of metroidvania games.
Huge, extremely polished, challenging. Lots of love poured into it. From art, sound design, gameplay, the map, level design. It is all perfection
They announced this sequel in 2019 and have been radio silent for years and randomly dropped the release date 2 weeks ago
and its only $20 for most likely 50+ hours of content (the SPEEDRUN achievement for 100% is beat it under 30 hours)
