I genuinely feel like its pretty fair. Like I'm too trash for every soulsborne game for reference but the last boss for act 1 was the only one that took me 10+ attempts so far, most of the other ones were like ~5 which is super reasonable for a game like this imo
That's very fair, I'm sure you're much better at this than I am and I'm def enjoying myself! I'm sure I'll get better and I've mastered some hard arse games before! But I feel like they're inserting some bs artificial difficulty atm. Random downward jumps leading into spikes just to shock you, like this isn't Rayman 1995. Or bros taking 2 masks in the early game? Ehhhh
I never had this feeling with the OG and I'm def not a pro gamer bro like kr0niic, is what is maybe the issue!
Not sure how I feel about this yet.
There's def gonna be some people who love the extra challenge and it's admirable Team Cherry didn't back down from their gaming philosophy.
But I'm old man, sometimes I just want a good balance between challenging and enjoyable and the first game struck a great balance. Maybe I'll get better but I'm spending too much time annoyed af right now, even in the early stages. Like objectively it's very impressive and it's respectable they made a divisive game so I can't hate on it. But I can't say I love it yet.
it’s a bit too much. Im able to eventually overcome but because it’s so brutal i don’t feel that rewarding feeling after beating a boss, I just feel glad it’s over
I like how I made a nice comment but issuing my personal concerns and you made some reddit bait.
I'm happy that you're great at games bro!
Cheers mate. Drink a beer and get good

Look up a speed runner on YouTube and hold the controller in your hands so you can pretend that it’s you playing.

Will do man, I love watching people play video games instead of playing them myself. Thanks for the tip!

Nah but thank you for being kind!

Cogwork Dancers

Can’t wait to finally play this so I can find out if people just f***ing suck at games (they generally do) or if it’s actually that difficult and frustrating
These bozos on r/silksong acting like they are in the Vietnam trenches trying to play this s*** lmao. Got people giving up and s***

Its pretty challenging but nowhere near impossible
Plus the world is big as hell you can always just go Somewhere else if youre stuck Somewhere to try and get new stuff

The only valid criticism for me rn is that rewards for exploration feel pretty mid for the most part but if the game is as long as we think it is then it makes sense they want to pad out rewards more.
But exploration is fun in and of itself imo game is fun as hell just to play

From my experience, a lot of people are not good at avoiding banging their head against the wall, usually out of some dumb sense of pride.
Reminds me of people who actively refuse to use summons in Elden Ring despite spending hours upon hours on certain bosses, treating it like it’s a cheat or exploit even though it’s a central mechanic in the game (it’s f***ing upgradeable).
