This is truly the better version of Hollow Knight I’ve been dreaming of all these years.
This is the metroidvania I’ve been dreaming of my whole life tbh
The high quality of games this year has been spooky, it definitely feels like we’re in a second golden age
I’m baffled by the comments I read on Reddit. The run backs are significantly shorter than in Hollow Knight. Backtracking isn’t an issue when you’re constantly awed and surprised by what you missed. There are a lot of survival elements in both games, and I’m not fond of all of them, but the game gives you all the tools to deal with it. A lot of people are playing it as if it were a linear game too. No! You can do a lot of stuff! The game wants you to!
I hate these f***ing red bulbs you gotta down jump for. S***s tricky
you can use the glider to position yourself and gain a bit of time to nail it

You probably haven’t encountered the tough runbacks yet. Bilewater is the worst, but I’m not in act 3 yet Im assuming it gets even worse.
S*** is crack all I can think about is playing this can’t believe I gotta work tomorrow smh
played this game for like 3 hours straight lmao got some new equipment and beat the savage beastfly. such a fun fight
I'm surprised by the amount of complaints about difficulty this game has, is it about the later acts? I'm still on Act 1 but I feel like the boss attack patterns so far have all been really simple and extremely fair. I really hope they don't nerf anything before I beat the game lmao

yeah act 1 is the easiest part of the game by far, but as long as you’re exploring for upgrades and backtracking when necessary you’ll be generally fine even in act 2. No clue about act 3 yet

I think difficulty complaints come from everyone that started Hunters March early (me)
Boss fights have all been easier then just getting from the beginning to end of hunters March

This is insane that so many people are not noticing that Hunter’s March is designed to be played later and remind players to revisit earlier zones as they get upgrades.
y’all talking bout hunters march thats a baby area lol, youre gonna be wishing for hunters march like it was a beautiful vacation spot
beat it in 14 hours
got faked out by the end of act 2 also?
time to lock tf in

Funny enough, I think I remember a similar discussion in the first Hollow Knight about people ending up in areas they shouldn’t be and then facing difficulty. I think like a lot of the things people are complaining about were also in the first game tbh
