finally got 8 masks an unmatched feeling

played quite a bit last night, im prolly still very early in act 2 just got the grappling hook thing, but i've had an easier time going thru it than some of the act 1 areas

found it just recently but it is my go-to with flintslate now

I jumped straight into this one and I'm enjoying it. I think you can do the same

losing around 80 shards after every decent fail vs Widow because i'm trying a poisoned tools build lmao

I know people love this franchise but for somebody who never played Hollow Knight: What's so special about this game? Looking at footage I'm just seeing another indie 2D platformer which there's plenty of.

The art style is great as well as the music, its very challenging, the maps are very intricate and full of secrets so the exploration is really satisfying, the combat is fast paced and demanding, you have a lot of freedom in terms of build and customization

Theres a lot to like about both games

the customization in this game is f***ing great

• very snappy and fluid controls
• gorgeous artwork and animation
• deep customization to builds
• great lore and worldbuilding
• extremely challenging boss fighting and platforming

The original Hollow Knight was also incredibly influential for the Metroidvania genre since its released. So a lot of recent games in the genre have pulled from it

Supposedly a few early bosses like Moorwig are getting nerfed plus slightly more rosary rewards in a patch

Everyones been talking about moorwing and i havent even seen that guy at all

Where is he ?

Greymoor, right before the tunnel to Bellhart. iirc if you travel there with the fleas he gets moved to a new location, but not sure where exactly

The only patch I would like is just benches by bosses…..

The difficulty on the bosses themselves is fine to me…

Don't tell me Moorwing is the boss that people have been complaining about in Act 1, they are actually nerfing him? He has 2 attacks

EDIT: He is tanky as S*** though tbf, I just sprinted under him and attacked upwards to be more aggressive

Same happened to me. I think once you reach act 2 (not sure of exact trigger) if you go back there he appears but he is actually really tough and yields no rewards lmao

On a different note, I’m really loving Silksong so far, I think more so than hollow knight. I love that it doesn’t feel as depressing or despondent, like yeah there’s some f*** s*** going on but damn the world just feels a little more alive and hopeful, less lonely. Team cherry really cooked here mane worth the wait.

If they’re planning a third though please don’t take 8 years

Agree with the world being more alive its a really nice change , i enjoyed the lonely and desperate vibe of the first one cause it made every NPC stand out a lot but this one just has a ton of charm and knowing what Hornet is thinking and stuff is really cool
