the pic doesn’t do it justice tbh. it looks amazing irl. i was hesitant on the gradient one but i don’t regret copping it a single bit. they’re also much thicker and sturdier than the standard plus pendants so i’d def go with these.
Should I get a replacement?
Returned this a week ago
Got a new one a few days
It was a lot better but still had small cracks and would probably peel over time
Just got my refund today
Never again

https://twitter.com/qwiktwist/status/1615212268924321793Michael Abel & Tracey Ma, the lead designer & art director for Homer both follow Karim. He’s a well respected and iconic designer in that space. I think the first collection definitely has inspiration however, it’s also inspired from the jewelry and aesthetic of early Y2K, Nigo, BBC and Murakami. It’s literally hemmed from their childhood.
Following the first collection, the brand has moved away from this aesthetic. The entire Dog collection is much more abstract and graphics heavy than nostalgia and playfulness with the following one focused on architectural drawings and portraits.

there are too many inspirations there, only to say it's just Karim Rashid. someone from twitter just found out that cursed reddit thread from 2021, copied it word for word and called it a day with no actual digging. besides plus pendant, there are no vivid similarities. any other brand with y2k aesthetics can be considered as a complete rip off by that logic
mfs just discovered y2k and not able to distinguish things properly. this Karim image is not even y2k. imageries and compositions like this were pretty in abudance in late 80s & early 90s, like c'mon
