OP really thinks a person in Pop Smoke's (then) circumstances really would think about how lines like that are perceived read the room brother

That doesn't mean we should ignore it.

Not saying Pop Smoke, or any other artist that says homophobic s***, should be cancelled, but there's no reason it shouldn't be addressed.

Offset is a better example, because he's still with us, and he's capable of change. When he said "I can not vibe with queers", maybe he didn't realize what he was saying was harmful. People called him out, hopefully he's changed and we can all move forward.

"All on my page, sucking d***".

Something a gay male would do in a literal sense, which is why he's saying he can't f*** with "these" (specifically within this context) niggas -- since in the literal sense, again, he's not gay. He doesn't like groupie niggas.

    Is this easier to understand.

“These” specifically In this context. Your words

“These”, in this context IS GAY PEOPLE, hence THESE...IS GAY!

Also, let’s say it is one big metaphor... what exactly is the metaphor? That he doesn’t like straight people... who act gay?

Bro, I'm agreeing with you. Homophobia needs to be addressed.

I'm saying it's a more productive conversation to call out the people who are still with us, such as Offset, than artists who have passed, such as Pop Smoke

Idk how this is even debatable

Homophobia is a problem in hip-hop
Sexism is a problem in hip-hop
Colorism is a problem in hip-hop

No need to act like it doesn’t exist
