I mean, if we're going by "the internet" aka twitter...the tenor of the convo around this album has def changed dramatically.
Search "Honestly Nevermind" and without trying you'll see a ton of people saying the same thing the tweet is saying in the OP
Not saying that that's representative of the entire internet, but yeah.
yes, cause the internet is Twitter twitter doesn’t even like drake man

The entire thread was started by twitter?
So I'm only going off of what OP used? Did OP not use a tweet to start this thread?
Hence the very first part of my post..."IF we're going by the internet aka twitter"
For the record, I think twitter is an awful, awful way of evaluating artists, especially artists as big as Drake. As an intern we used to laugh at it lol
I'm sorry what the f*** are you talking about Dreamland sounds nothing like these albums hahaha it's dream/bedroom pop basically
I love GA too much to ignore that
You also compared HNVM to Renaissance, two albums that also sound nothing alike
Twitter told me Honestly Nevermind sucked
And every time I'm poolside or at a function in LA or Vegas over the past year I'm hearing Massive / Sticky / Jimmy Cooks / Falling Back / Texts Go Green. Deadass were playing that album last week as if it just dropped.
Just my opinion from my experience...but it was never panned like that in real life. It was a niche album, that served it's niche purpose perfectly, which is why it's still holding up strong over a year later.
Twitter is a very large minority for artists, but especially artists as big as Drake. Their opinions on him are ridiculous, that's why the opinion arc of his albums on that platform literally follow the exact same arc haha

Listen to Dreamland if you think that's closer to hnm than renaissance
I enjoyed it very much but I can see why people hated it, and not on No they don’t get it. It’s more like I enjoyed drake experimenting, there’s gems and more of a personal listen than an outside listen to me.
Like yeah some tracks are nice listening outside, but I prefer listening to it by myself. It’s quite a melancholic album
WLR is just a diet Trippie Redd album, don’t lump it in with these classics
Smh, what are u talking about why r u mentioning trippie redd 4
Lmfao Trippie has not made a single thing that touches WLR, let alone an album
MANSION MUZIK???

Carti ran off with Trippie’s style like how A$AP did to SGP
background music. cool listen. not offensive except for those trash vocals on falling back.
no where near the same league as 808s. OP you buggin

Stop spreading misinfo
Carti is cloning key! N Travis Scott dats it
Trippie is his own trash category
I'm convinced people (unbiased ones) would have enjoyed their first listen a lot more if Falling Back wasn't the intro
I like the track but it definitely drags on and Drake's vocals aren't great
The internet will never convince me this album is good, it’s watered-down, dilute cosplay dance music
Few gems in there, but no, this album had minimal-to-no impact in real life, there is extraordinarily better & authentic house/dance music out there than this surface-level attempt at it
Babbys First dance album fr

The first track is the worst song on the whole album idk how they didnt catch that its a very bad first impression
am I the only one who really liked falling back ? best song on the album for me
