MedicatedDangeroo or watever is woat manager of all time. Really dropped the ball and screwed the career of every artist on his label. Even J Snore and Melatoninville more relevant than Kendrick and tde at this point

Id prefer to wait for a project that’s gonna do more for me and stick with me, than get tapes that get spun for 1 weekend and then it’s onto the next. sure that s*** can be hard af and slap but doesn’t really do much more than that. It’s hot for a week then the next one comes.
I like it all tho don’t get me wrong but I think streaming has made people impatient and that shows with how ppl act towards TDE, as an example. An artist can spend 2 years making an album then a week later people already asking for more. Clearly Uzi understood this and it worked. now the industry copies the deluxe rollout all the time.
I also understand artists want to supply their fans with new material quickly to maintain buzz. It’s just the music business changing and reality where we at now.

I think there’s balance. An artist can give their fans an offering every 2 years . Even if it’s by presence on features / mixtapes etc. Some of the most legendary hip hop moments and projects came off 1 year waits or straight after a tape
I don’t think 4 year album waits should be normalised as a turnaround. To me part of it is just marketing to build mysterious hype.
