this is my first game so the designs aren't a big complaint rn but I can see over years of the same it can get stale. we already have similar outfits on a lot of characters in star rail

they lack diversity in their character models, in this case acheron is like a model of a very popular high selling character from other games

it's better than genshin where the characters are all built like children at least, but color scheme and wardrobe could be more diverse

Pretty much this. Also this is supposed to be a sci-fi where you basically meet different civilisations across the universe; you would think you would see more varied attire but almost everyone is dressed the same

Need more competition when it comes to 3D gacha games so hoyoverse can at least attempt to put some effort in, they are essentially only competing with themselves right now

yea at least honkai is well taken care of thus far for a lack of aethsetics. they seem to enjoy running a theme in how characters dress based off the world or culture they originate from, the xianzhou for example.

compared to genshin where they treat their playerbase like peasants starving and hand out a slice of bread as reward it could be worse. i saw for genshin's big patch or annivesary maybe they're giving players a total of three wishes

China just going crazy with their gachas. Japan's been in the dirt with theirs for the past few years. You would think Japan would be better about it, but they have definitely been slacking. A lot of em are just pre-existing IPs that are generally really stingy in terms of pull income (or just bad games lol) and the gameplay tends to be pretty simplistic. I think the bigger ones in Japan rn are Fate Grand Order and Uma Musume.
