Almost finished with the first game. Goddamn is it a chore to play. Only playing it cuz this actually looks good but if the gameplay is the same and the story is just as lifeless I’m skipping this

they said they learned from their mistakes but we’ll see, I feel like they have to say s*** like that but I’ll hold out hope

I swear to god if it’s another disappointing ending and the combat is the same with every enemy just having a glowing weak point im gonna ask for a refund and tell them the marketing lied about improvements lol

Yeah I’m gonna wait to hear reviews from the general public for this one. Not gonna trust critics on this one esp since it’s bound to get positive reviews for the most part

I’ve tried twice I wanted to like this game so bad since the concept is cool but the game was just making me so angry with the storytelling, so many classic writing mistakes. When I started the game and they give you that massive exposition dump in the cave I knew it was just gonna make me mad

The first one had nice graphics but the story was boring and Aloy had no personality. The only good part was fighting the robotic animals but that got repetitive and boring eventually as well, hopefully this one is much better. I never understood the high praise it got. The first one is a 7/10 at best.

I wonder what HFW looks like on PS4.

Not to mention much older games like the last of us from 2013 had much better facial animations and character models, same with 2015’s MGSV

Someone please let me know if they address these issues with this new game. Visually it looks stunning but I’m not about to play another tech demo

If that's a concern then you shouldn't buy it cause it looks more of the same with minor improvements to the combat. The core gameplay loop of shooting arrows into weak spots to remove pieces of their armor or hit weakspots to blow it up is gonna stay. I actually liked the combat in the first game so I'm not mad at it

Right wtf are ppl talking bout Horizon ZD is still one of the best looking games of last gen and this one so far. Had jo idea this game was hated on this sub.

I'm honestly I know already what to expect based off the first game. I'm gonna drop 60 bucks on this just to play through the campaign once and probably never go back to it. I dont mind and feel like all the work that goes into a game of this caliber is worth that kind of money to play through once. But yeah I'm not expecting a s*** ton of replay value.

What I am hoping for is.

• More epic scale bosses answer pieces
• A better, story with better relationship dynamics with both enemies and companions
• More varied, dynamic open world with more activities
• Better combat especially on the melee end
• More awesome, creative machine types
• Hope the underwater sections and environments arent redundant

They dropped the ball on still not letting you ride flying machines. Would have added a whole new element to the game. Guess I gotta wait Avatar Frontiers of Pandora for that.

I know I watched it all I'm just saying when I actually play and experience the game for myself. They can easily market the game any kind of way. But for the most part I'm confident these improvements will be implemented for the entire duration of the game, and not just small tweaks.

I don't even like zero Dawn because of its pacing but the game looked good the year it released. And holds up especially on PC. Its Hyper-realism artstyle, ranged combat and robotic enemy variety are also pluses.

It got criticized for human to human combat, underwhelming side quests, pacing, and not offering much player freedom for its open world.

They seem to be addressing those criticisms with the sequel and I hope they're successful because it looks like they actually listened to feedback.

I'm sorry but I'm not antagonistic enough towards the first game to go after it's looks of all things. Maybe they win back your trust, maybe they don't
