This game is f***ing AMAZING.
I don’t know how I slept on this series for so long. Literally takes everything in assassins creed and does it 10x better, aside from narrative. I like how much you’re able to upgrade weapons and stuff if you really grind for it. Easily the best looking game I’ve ever played along with TLOU2 but the fact that Horizon does it on such a massive scale is really something.
Hope to see a lot more of this series in the future.
I will say I love everything about this but for some reason I hated the zenith machines/future people
I just boot this thing up and fall asleep
Same. I beat the first one which was mid but I dropped this one like 30 mins to an hour in. It just feels like more of the same. Boring. Beautiful game though.
It’s crazy, I just checked and apparently I’ve played 22 of forbidden west. Literally can’t tell you a single thing that happened lol

Dropped it when Elden Ring came out, but remember them making Aloy in Forbidden West super annoying for me. Don't know if that was a beginning of the story thing or what

She’s great, though? She’s like an Ellie-esque character. I can’t imagine a single person not liking her.
How is the NG+?
Just finished and this was a solid 9 to me. Could’ve been a 10 if I enjoyed the story more but I’m just gonna chalk that up to having not played the first game

Oh so you didn’t play the first one, just my opinion but I think that plays a big part in why you liked it so much.
I platinumed the first game and Forbidden West to me is just boring to play because it’s another 30-40 hours of the same thing with a less interesting story. I could see it being a great first experience for the series though there’s a lot that’s improved over Zero Dawn
4 hours in, loving it. It's def more of Horizon 1 so far but I loved that (and played it years ago) so I don't mind it.
I think comparing these to Ubisoft games is a disservice, the gameplay is just so much more fun.

Only gets better the longer you play. My only advice is do whatever mission/quest you feel like doing, you can literally come back to anything later (and it's gonna be easier) so don't feel like you have to clear it all on your first run or it will disappear. I honestly can't believe how much content they put into this game, you'll love it.

I need to give it another chance
