Pigs & dogs are the same in every way that matters, they are actually known to be more smart! Like look at these fellas

Some can even be smarter than a 3-year-old child. It's actually pretty crazy what they are capable of.

This is dope, I didn’t know this. Definitely glad you shared.

Yeah with this & how cows experience extreme empathy for others, it just shows how special this “food” is. We need a huge perception switch

vegans are just lifestylists doing useless "boycott" activism that will never work

my only problem with vegans is when they think they're gonna change the world with a mass industry-wide boycott, which is delusional, or that they're gonna make the entire world switch to veganism for some reason

imo the solution is mainly in getting rid of factory farming and the meat industry and localizing ethical butchering, which has been done by various cultures over generations

also some vegans are incredibly idealist, thinking they'll change predator-prey relations among animals, and this line of thought unironically contributes to ecocide, and destroying local ecosystems by letting in invasive species and letting them prosper

its an debate centered around ethics, but veganism is a product of the agricultural revolution, which was built of the back of worker exploitation and also animal exploitation for that matter, which is quite ironic

i respect a lot of the direct action certain segments of the movement do, but i think it's ultimately going to a lost cause

I appreciate you giving actual thoughts on the matter and expressing your opinion. My response to this without getting long winded is very simple & applies to any ethical movement that may seem pointless in a world that lacks ethics. It’s from the wise Angela Davis

I promise you, it is not a lost cause especially for the animals that get to live to see another day without our interference, the health of humanity & the planet we live in. There are tons of documentaries that point to importance of veganism for today’s society & can share those whenever

Yes, very sad that this is a thing. I’m glad you were able to participate in an animal sanctuary. The PTSD reported of those who work at slaughter houses should also be a red flag for everyone

Worryingly about vegans and their hypothetical ecocide when current animal agriculture is causing the biggest ecocide in the history of humanity

You’re right that was me just filling in the gaps. The truth is that “ethical” meat is a myth because there is just not enough farmland to feed billions of people pasture raised food like our ancestors did. Plus “ethical” slaughter is a myth too because you can’t ethically kill someone that doesn’t want to die
