Me and my friend tried hotboxing my car with the car on so we could play music but we don't know if the car filtered out the smoke. Does the car need to be off to get the full effect? We didn't get noticeably higher than we usually do and we were pretty tired and nauseous when we opened the garage. Anyone know if having the car on ruins the hot box?

From what you’re saying, it sounds like the car was running while the garage door was closed. Carbon monoxide from the exhaust has no smell. Gas, yes. But plenty of people have died from leaving the car running while the garage door was closed
