i agree with that
personally i either go cowboy bepop, samurai champloo or death note but every thing will have at least a handful of dislkers
These are all great but starting with these three implies that all anime is shonen action/adventure series when that's not what appeals to everyone.
I think one of those three (or Fullmetal Alchemist) then something more comedic like Lucky Star or K-On!, then something dramatic but balanced like Evangelion or Your Lie in April shows off the range of anime a lot better.
I was raised on the Toonami action stuff and was legitimately surprised when I started all the Kyoto Animation shows and found I enjoyed s*** like Haruhi Suzumiya more.
I disagree
If you jump as a someone who doesnt watch it you will be instantly turned off by “I Got Reincarnated Into a Hotel Urinal” or “My Brother F***ed my Dog and Turned into a Demigod”, or underage children sexualized, or other risque s***.
There are select shows that should be watched so you can know what to look for after finishing

You wouldn't recommend shows like that to someone if you didn't think they would be into that in the first place, that's kind of my whole point.

Thats the thing tho, you wouldnt but its someone out there honest to god suggesting this horseshit to someone. Then it turns em off and taints their view.
A good started pack atleast starts their perception off on the right foot. Itd be like if you never watched american media before and someone started you off with jersey shore.
