Nah Sherm tuned him in to the MAXX he was dipping that s*** into his ears; music would be in a perpetual receding state forever had he not
Honestly a mainstream SGP production run in like 2013-2015 might have changed a lot of s*** production trend wise all jokes aside
Lmao @ “we’d be listening wit 3 headphones” tho
Cheer$.
He never smoked da sherm blunt are u gvy or sumn are u a ASAP Cocky Stan?
Do yo research
Any theories on how hip-hop artist loose touch?
In a very simplified thought process it's: you were hot then-- thus you should ideally at one point be able to create something fire sometime eventually again.
But that doesn't exactly seem to always be the case.

Trends change and your main fanbase grows up
Niggas who were in high school listening to Rocky/SGP thinking it was crazy probably not tryna hear that s*** now outside of pure nostalgia

Bet. Of course all artist are at the will of their fanbases attention span, & I get how the pathway to success in music is to get it while its hot, but to specify sum:
I'm watching all these Versus n thinking bout how all these throwbacc artist coulda had more prolific careers with today’s internet exposure, and reremembering the chokehold on hype some people had got me thinking/wondering why the nature of hip-hop careers ain’t more cyclical
It’s like if u mastered the sound& charts back then, and then naturally died outta the limelight as the new sound emerged, why not change your style to fit the new wave and reclaim®ain some hype? ( ofc s*** can’t be forced or min lame)
Feel like this platform is way different than the one they was operating on before so much so that they could unretire with the right marketing
they lose the hunger

Nah I agree that that hunger be the motivation, but it if you’re really in tune with music then you should always be able to create sum heat
I think the issue prolly is with some artist is that they only offer one type of product of sound that we love and expect.
And when the demand diminishes they stop supplying
(Hard to think u got all that f***n money then went brain numb)
But other adaptable artist ie. J, Kanye, Wayne, & Carti all offer a more inelastic product where innovation has keep their pockets fed

some people do this s*** to get out of where they are, once they make it they can relax and that motivation goes away
others do it out of passion
