It’s gon be a sad day when Kendrick retires. He the only authentic one in the big three
i love hey now, dodger blue and tv off which are amazing to me
hms to to gnx, peekaboo, wacced out murals and squabble up which are great to me
but i honestly like the whole album, everything else is good to me
the only skip for me even tho its still a good song in itself is man at the garden, because i feel like its a road bump in the middle of the whole album going 100 on the highway when listening in order
if it was flipped with gnx title track position i think it would flow better for me since gnx is where the slower or "deep" songs are like gloria and heart part 6 - man at the garden would fit perfect with those as the album winds down
not a single actual bad or mid song here tho for me - s*** is crazy
For sequencing sake your points make sense.. I can understand his approach though.. I think Kenny tried to incorporate small pockets of downtime between the high energy cuts ..almost like breather, but I can understand if the sudden drop in intensity takes you out of it, especially if you’re playing the record while say ‘working out’

You niggas just ain’t Gemini’s lifting to SZA harmonizing in your ear or Roddy hitting them dope melodies
I’m about to get in the car and do another late night drive with it, again!
Do your worst, brother!

Major facts. J Cole discography is legitimately trash. Drake the most monotone artist like ever

After this Christmas surge Luther and tv off is OUTTA here in January

yeah and it helps its still a good song itself and can see why someone else might not feel the same or dont care - but for me it feels like the only real down time song compared to everything until the end
still goat s*** tho

Don’t sleep on squabble up that bass thumping is hard to ignore I’m sorry
Im enjoying the album so much I forgot about the beef songs
im glad the album only really directly touched on the beef in the intro then ignored it from there on - and it was brief on top of it
i do have a playlist version with euphoria and nlu slotted in the tracklist logically tho
I feel the same I felt at release pretty good
Really like it. I pace myself so that whenever I go back it's a fresh experience.
No skips from my end (Gloria is the only one I'm lukewarm on), I know I troll a lot but I'm happy with the project.

euphoria off of the tde rerconcile track with how he mentions tde and his family in it and then he reflects after it with man at the garden and gloria - and the intro part of euphoria adds to the cool down towards the end with a lil bit more of aggression injected in the rest of it
then nlu after squabble up due to the music video preview plus it continues the f*** all of yall energy from the intro and squabble
