im turning 23 in a week and feel like because of that everything is about to end. I feel like im at the endgoal and everything will end, when in reality im only 23 smh. Its like i Bro i cant even explain it smh, I cant see 5 years into the future because by then im gonna be 28 which is still young, when in reality lm probably gonna live another 60 years. I feel like my youth is over and im old why the f*** i feel like that the f***
I’m 21 and I be feeling like that too. But I realized I feel like that because of rappers and influencers on social media. They’re the top .0001% of early 20 year olds on earth. Getting what you want is a lot of times a grind and takes a lot of hard work. Work that might not pay off until you hit your mid to late 20s or even later than that sometimes
It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Where one thing ends another begins. You may be feeling immense change at 23 (accentuated with covid affecting everyone and everything). Change isn’t necessarily the end of you, it can be the end of what was, but also it allows for rebirth. Define yourself at 23. I’m also feeling this and it’s a struggle everyday. Embrace change and keep it one with yourself

facts this mentality is coming from social media which showcases the youngest most successful people
someone said it in another thread but imagine asking a man in his 70-80s what he would do if he was 23? you’re literally in your prime and you can do anything right now man.
Damn this thread reminded me of my ex. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink
You gotta remember to breathe and live in the present
I’m 22 soon to be 23 and I’ve had to take a step back over these last few months to appreciate that no matter what progress I have made I am still here fighting. Don’t get too caught up worrying about your future when your present ain’t right. Practice good mindfulness
close your eyes and imagine very vividly that youre 95 and on your deathbed. reflect on how painful it is, knowing that you wasted your whole life.
then open your eyes and realize you can still do everything you want.
