I’m an HR Manager. Biggest mistake people make when asking questions is asking questions that they should’ve known when researching the company.

Ask the interviewer about their experience with the company. Let them talk about themselves. Almost like the other person said, become the interviewer.

Another question that is pretty good to ask is what are the goals of the company. Make it seem like you’re there for them, not just for your own advancement.

Itd just hard to think of questions related to thst since it's like a local company thing and a liqour store like it's not a big corporation or anything

Agree. Asked both of these questions at the place I currently started working at. Some questions regarding jobs description do well too, I feel. But not really applicable for OP's situation, IMO.

Nothing to be nervous about mate. If they called you back they obviously believe you to already be qualified. No company is going to waste their time with someone who they don’t believe to be qualified. As long as you didn’t lie on your resume about your knowledge you’ll be fine. This is more so just a convo, let your personality shine through here and there

There will also be someone more qualified than you but if they come across as unlikeable or an a****** they likely won’t get hired over someone who is likeable

I didnt even fill out an application, my stepdad saw one of his old managers at work and asked him if he's looking for part time help and he said yeah so he gave me his number and I called him and gave him a little knowledge of my experience with retail and customer service stuff. It ended up not even being an interview like you said it was basically a conversation he just told me about the job and the community of the employees and stuff and im actually really excited to start, got some paper work to fill out and I start next week!

Got an interview in 2 hours, i be having anxiety so they're hard for me I usually end up stuttering and s*** and I feel so dumb. Realistically I know I don't have to do amazing to get the job since the boss is families friend but obviously I cant bomb.

I never know what questions to ask so whenever they ask me if I have questions I usually say no but I feel like that looks bad especially if I was being nervous throughout the whole thing
What the hell could I ask that isn't brought up during the interview? It's a liqour store job

when they ask if you have questions and you dont have any, say: ‘no but id just like to add......’

u can use this as an opportunity to add something you think would be a good point to consider to hire you, or to restate any important points from earlier in the interview

    best of luck
