I've tried beatstars but that s*** is pointless there's like 10000 producers for every artist looking for a beat

i'd spam hashtags (not too hard though or else you get shadowbanned) like #beats or #freebeats etc.

i'd also search around and find lowkey artists with like 1-2k followers and just comment on their stuff, just like "yooo dope music bruh" and s*** like that until we build a connection and then I try sellin to em

the videos i'd post were just 1 minute long cuts of the beat videos id post on youtube, having just downloaded them to my phone using dropbox

building connections with artists is good for just basic networking as you'd do with any online business but a lootttt of my sales were just people DMing me

    sounds interesting

might try this but I feel like I'd be too lazy for all that

I am on beatstars since January 2018 and post also regulary on youtube and IG. I made a total of about 1k $ but at least 2/3 of this where through collabs (one with The Cratez and one with MJNichols of Internet Money). Sometimes people contacted me and where asking for beats. I sent them stuff but mostly no kind of relationship came out of it.
The market is heavily flooded with producers right now..so you have to invest A LOT of time into finding and contacting small artists. As I work fulltime and I am a lazy f*** I'm obviously not doing this... :(
