That's true. Do you think changing it would even amount to much? It seems many are hellbent on denying it anyways
i think a lot of people would be more receptive to generally "spiritual" terms if less esoteric explanations were used instead of historically whimsical/fantastical words.
like explaining how it has to do with phenomena & perception instead of "gonna say some magic words and create a million in front of me out of thin air"-type stuff / etc.
crowley (and others) made this stuff hyper-esoteric on purpose so it would weed out people who wouldn't take it seriously, but regardless (that said not everything crowley said was really true or accurate but he was onto somethings tbh)
Science uses "logic". Everything is not explained by logic. What we don't understand we dismiss because we can't comprehend it. Also hiding it. They don't want people practicing it
Science simply observed phenomena and offers explanation for them. If magic were real, at least 1 magician in the whole planet for the past centuries could have been able to reproduce their effects in an observable and provable way

i wouldnt call myself a Hindu on a religious census or anything but ive studied eastern faiths more than most other religions and been to various temples; the only other religious tradition i've studied as much being western esotericism which is more of an amalgamation of stuff than a real independent faith
