if they can make wasteyutes like bladee sound bearable to people, imagine what they can do with talented singers

Sliding 808s and Wondagurl type drums on RNB style production?
sliding 808s on rnb s*** sounds really forced to me like i don't think it would work over a whole album, single would be cool tbo

bladee is a top 3 vocalist of all time
title
nothing wrong with OVO musically really, just wish they sometimes tapped into the more traditional r&b sound with acoustic instruments.
imo the biggest problem with OVO niggas is that they don't put themselves out there, they barely work with ppl outside of OVO and it holds them back. Get Roy on some Skrillex.
Man just wait for someone to come out with someone else rather than dragging this sound lmao
Party has at least 2 classics, baby has 0 (objectively)

That would be dope. Those Drain Gang producers are pretty talented.

“Carving a lane for Drake and themselves”, who ever said ghostwriter turns out to be
dude has a dababy avi using the word mid
Knowing how y’all get down on here, you probably only listened to a couple of baby songs and decided to hate cause it’s trendy. And that’s if you even listened to his music fr. You pop stans are sheep.

put me on then cuz i've heard his projects at least once and nothing stood out to me besides the obvious hits.
One promising sign of progress for OVO's formula were Plaza's songs that came out like two years ago, "Pick Up" in particular. That one had a cool morning coffee shop type vibe that was pretty different from the usual OVO s*** but still contiguous to it.
But yeah, all the biting of one thing or another by OVO (Drake's old sound, trap, dancehall, tropical house, Future, etc. etc. etc) has just made them kind of irrelevant. Certainly compared to those 2013 days of Majid Jordan "Her," the first PND record. Hell even Makonnen and OB Brien were aight. I think "personal" by plaza was the last thing that came out vis-a-vis OVO Sound that was really truly dope
