I dont think much of the newer generation do graff, djing, or breaking anymore. Most of the focus is on making beats or rapping. The rest are like the lost elements of hip hop

It sucks people just don't do that as much anymore. I got more into it cause I have aux but hate using it in my car but since I got involved in the local scene I'm buying up more and more s*** cause with stuff like that I actively don't want to torrent it like I would with mega artists

I like helping support the underground. 7 years ago it was volunteering to set up, break down, or be a supporting dj. now this is the best I can do

well you can still check these out if youd like

i dont have a price on them so you can just listen

    tonyknocksproductions.bandcamp.com

You know if they got a bandcamp plugin so fans can buy songs directly off your website?

I have no idea how that works unfortunately but there's gotta be a way you can connect something like that if I can regularly get vinyl and stuff off Bandcamp(just the other day I got a 250 limited wounded touch vinyl, local metalcore band that's blowing tf up) , at least I'd think?

I'm pretty sure I get alerts for merch even after I follow and agree to the email type alerts (which is very streamlined: follow > do you want to sign up for the mailing list?>agree - this is how I got one of those spaceghostpurp super limited vinyl)

listened to it since i was a baby, first song i ever remember hearing was killing me softly by the fugees, mom had the score on cassette and used to play it while getting ready in her room

participated in all the elements of hip hop except bboying

produced for about 14 years, got close to some things but never was able to break big

just listen now, but its the main genre ive listened to my whole life

I actually grew up listening to R&B, Gospel, and a bit of Country. My first slice of Hip Hop was when I was around 3-4 years old and I ain't never looked back. As I grew older I started getting more and more into Hip Hop as not only just a music for to dance to(I used to B-Boy as a kid) but more of an artform. It's reflected in my style, artwork, creative writing, fashion, and everything I do. I guess I consider myself Hip Hop. I always look for new s*** to listen to and yet I still appreciate what came before. I ain't a rapper but I do pieces and concepts that trace back to Hip Hop.

It's not the only genre I listen to(R&B, Jazz, Electronic, Alternative, Rock, House, Afrobeats, Techno, Ambient) but it's definitely among the most important
