Hes an insane producer even now tho
Mans really transformed that Nip single into what it is
he's got that posivite outlook on life that people crave for. people look at him and see the potential better version of themselves
But Dre at least had musical clout. People were waiting for Detox for years.
Chronic is one of the best rap albums of all time.
Even Compton was a great album.
And this is not even mentioning his production credits.
Diddy (no hate) to me, never really had that kind of musical career.
You're underestimating Diddy musical clout Diddy dropped one of his biggest hits this decade while Dre was ghost
I put him in similar category to DJ Khaled tbh.
That doesn't mean you would question how Khaled had musical relevance. He's popular,he puts together good guest list and is a celeb in his own rigjt.
Even more so Diddy has a legacy in this game from Mary to BIG to French.
Seems like your personal lack of respect for Puff is blinding you.

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-ImCpNqbJwDre outdid Diddy's entire career with his 80s stuff alone and yea I'm only talking 80s here Add the rest and Diddy's nothing compared to Dre, not hating my g

Idk why you guys are debating skill in the first place were discussing relevancy.
I'm not in that discussion and frankly don't care about it b. Debate it with each other That wasn't and isn't my point.
I never said one was better

Skill is partly in the discussion.
If you look at some of the biggest names in rap history which he'd probably be included in, I'd argue he has the least talent / weakest musical achievements.
So my question was centred around how he managed to get to the top despite not really being at the same level artistically as others.

Yeah, sure. In terms of relevancy there's no doubt that Diddy is a huge figure. Diddy was huge when it comes to Biggie's career path and guiding Bad Boy back in the day, he's been instrumental in Biggie's artistic vision and the stylistic changes from Ready to Die to Life After Death. He knows the business like few others.

You gonna ignore my other post in favor of responding to one not quoting you?
I don't care were discussing relevancy least talented or not my point was that he's had hits in this decade and continued to be with big artist.
I answered your OP now it seems you just questioning his legacy in general
