daylightsavingtimei'd say he has progressed on that sound. as examples of that i could mention "Jungle", "Keep The Family Close", "Fire & Desire", "Feel No Ways". he hasn't done that style for a whole album though, i could agree with you on that. but would you want him to? i really love the new styles he's added to his repertoire. did not like dancehall before but f*** me "Signs" is one of my all time favorite songs.
i'm interested what do you think he's missing at the moment? is the lyrical content? production? vocal delivery?
They don't have that Deep trickle low end padded drum 3am Golden Chalice feel, the lyrics don't have the same emotion or feeling, yes they are R&B but they are far from Take Care level

he's definitely been in a different place since "Take Care" but i like that. makes the feel and moments on "Take Care" more unique and special. I still have great nostalgia for that project but I have new emotions and feelings for the newer stuff as well. I do agree that none of his projects from then have sounded like that BUT THAT'S GOOD.
