cookies - babyfather aka dean blunt. as much as i look around, i can only find one release date for this track. 11/16/15

but jump out the face came out in June of 2015

so how the f*** did they do this s***

did cookies come out sometime earlier and i just can’t find the release? did mr blunt give them the track to sample? did rocky use the sample better? please converse

Similar situation to James Blake interpolating Godspeed by Frank Ocean three months before it officially released:

Released May 2016, Godspeed came out in August 2016. In the liner notes for Blake’s album, it’s credited as an official interpolation

maybe it’s a ghost produced beat? like multiple people had access to the same folder type s*** cause neither party credits the other. Meek credits his producers and Rocky credits his and Dean

Mac miller’s ROS sampled river tiber and daniel caesar’s “west” before west came out too

well on genius it says it’s a dean blunt sample but that’s just a community run site, he’s not credited officially on streaming from what i saw. the noah sammak situation proved you can get away with a lot by editing rap genius pages.

dean blunt might have sampled the meek song but whoever put the info in could have just confused the “song samples x” and “song sample in y” sections

or perhaps the date for the dean blunt song is listed wrong since he often released music not on streaming but on random accounts, zippyshares, etc, so it could have had an earlier release date than is listed

or perhaps both use the same sample or loop from another source

one of the most flagrant displays of stupidity i’ve seen on here

Dean Sampled Jump Out The Face, made 🍪 (released on UK2UK 2015) and gave that beat to Rocky for Testing

Same with Money Bags, originally a Dean/Arca track and Rocky’s Freeze leak (Killuminati beat by Dean)
