I'm interested in how people decided to learn their daw whether it be from trial and error or via youtube
if you can name your daw and how you learned it

I first learned FL Studio because I wanted to make EDM music.
Then Ableton because I wanted more control of audio editing then FL offered. Then Logic Pro/Pro Tools because I figured I should probably learn the DAW all sound engineers, recorders use in the studio.
It's really up to you and what you want to do each one is better at different things.
If your just starting Ableton or FL though. logic and pro tools be extra AF with their settings, which is great because you have a lot of control, but it's really easy to get confused.
Lol just realised I didn't answer the actual question. YT vids have all the info, theres a bunch of great podcasts by the best producers/engineers in the industry which drop gems, pensados palace is good.
Just make the songs you make and when you don't know how to do something there will always be a YT with the answer. 1 thing though learning on youtube just remember your taking advice from people who mostly haven't had success, kids, and people who make these videos for a living. so take everything with a grain of salt, a lot of them will say you have to do it this way or that way, try both and see what you like.
I first started with FL back in late 2006. Been using it ever since
I learned by trial and error, watching beat making videos, and YouTube tutorials
Started watching busyworksbeats tutorials but then i switched to internet money tutorials after i realised how ASS BWB is
Also i did an audio engineering diploma which gave me a greater understanding of mixing
audacity gang
to ableton gang we here
edit: novice ableton
for context i've been trying to learn ableton for a while now and something about it hasn't been clicking with me i've switched to fl for a minute and then realized i liked ableton better
Garageband, because it was free and accessible, going to go another few months until I've hit the wall educating myself about the interface, and then I'm switching to Logic
Edit: Didn't even answer the question it was a lot of trial and error and youtube tutorials like someone already said

Ikr and he tries to con people into thinking that knowing music theory will improve their beats when you don't even need to know much to use FL. Learn an instrument if you wanna learn music theory.

mac or pc doesn't really matter just go to piratebayproxy . space and search for it it'll show literally 100's of different versions, just click on seeds on the right which will show the one the most people are downloading/uploading and find the first one thats the most recent version for your pc
Apple_Logic_Pro_X_10.4.1_macOS
That above file if you find it on that site from Tenggren85 is the one I use for mac and I can vouch for it working.
