Like real-life finance s***. Credit scores, taking out loans, how to manage money, learn about taxes, investing, etc. Would the US be in a better place?

There wouldn't be that many people f***ed over for sure, powerful people benefit from ignorance

They would somehow find a way to standardize it like every other class which makes them more about passing than learning

Most of the stuff they teach you in school is usually just the tip of the ice berg. I took economics and accounting in school and didn’t learn s*** because none of the stuff was practical.

Yes absolutely. It wasn’t required but i took them because I know i would need that knowledge more than regular classes tbh.

    Barely different if anything.

Ppl that say "why don't they teach X in school" are usually the ones who f***ed off every class. Learning finance is readily available online and through free books at the library and they just complain instead.

I went to a public high school and had 2 semesters of personal finance

This is also the absolute truth

honestly idk, believe i read before that finance classes in HS aren't really doing kids much good because they typically don't care about the topic. we had finance class electives in HS and i can see that tbh.

there is a significant issue with financial illiteracy especially in the U.S. tho. i know so many people that literally piss away money, acquire unnecessary debt and end up being financially crippled.

And you’re right. I did f*** off in school. But I was also aware on valuable knowledge was, especially specialized knowledge. I’ve been reading books/watching videos, listening to podcasts about finance for the past 3 years. Everybody knows how to make money, I.e. get a job and then get a check. But not many people know how to make their money grow.
