You cant tell kids anything. They have to walk their own path. Nothing you said indicates anything horrible so i'm not sure why youre assuming the worst of your niece or even overthinking in that direction. But overall you have to let people live and learn through experience. When I first got into adulthood I tried to share certain experiences with my younger homies/cousins/etc. Id say out of all of them maybe about 2-3 listened, one still thanks me for sharing my experiences with him till this day, but majority of people it goes in one ear out the other. It was the same for me when I was a kid. You couldnt tell me s*** and i wasn't trying to hear anything anyone was telling me, especially adults. You live life through experiences, unless someone is truly out here doing s*** they shouldn't be you just have to let people live and learn.
