Seems they are becoming more and more a "thing" nowadays. And by short i mean under 2 mins.
Personally i kind of like it. It means the songs never get repetitve or boring. But some artists are doing it out of laziness sometimes which i dont like
Also not sure how it translates to a live setting just having the song switch every minute and a half. Kinda weird. Not that we will ever be able to go to live shows ever again..
That’s one of the things I liked about My Turn, Wunna and Kirk
But you have to be talented to pull it off
If it makes musical sense for the artist to make the song short, then I have no problem with it. But i'm old school though, I like my songs to be longer and more fleshed out.
I hate this new trend nowadays where songs are 2:25 long, 'ole ADD ass listeners today, man.
a song thats too short is always better than a song thats too long
well said, well said!
Tbh this is probably XXX’s biggest influence on the game
Dude just made short catchy s*** that would make you want to replay it over and over
I personally wasn’t a fan but it’s something I noticed
there’s some really great short songs but tbh i just always wish they were longer

Feel like the whole appeal of that album is that it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome uno
I feel like artists like DOOM, XXX, Lucki, Valee, etc. basically came up with the blueprints for where music will be in a couple more years. If artists are about to be dropping 20 song projects and then a deluxe with it they might as well make songs like this.
Short with a lot of replay value

i feel that but it’s so good i just want more
better to want more than want less though
It’s annoying when they’re one of the best songs on an album
Like annoying as f***, but artists will keep doing it cause it boosts streams apparently
